Employment Opportunities

Any person interested in seeking employment with Nova Center must apply in person at the Administrative Offices located at 8401 Hickman Mills Dr. KCMO 64132.  In person applications are accepted Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. 

All potential employees must be able to provide documentation that proves that they are legally eligible for employment in the United States. This could mean the employee is any of the following: 

  • A citizen of the United States,
  • A noncitizen national of the United States,
  • A lawful permanent resident, or 
  • An alien authorized to work (may not be expired)

In accordance with MO Department of Mental Health contract, all employees must provide proof of education; which may include High School or College diploma or transcripts, GED Certification, or proof of enrollment in a Certified GED program. 

All employees must provide a valid driver’s license if their job duties require that they transport people served. If driving is not an essential job duty, the employee must provide a valid state I.D. A copy of either of these will be maintained in every employee’s file. 

All employees will be expected to complete a MO State and Federal W4 form, as well as a MO Department of Mental Health Worker Registration application – In order to complete the Family Care Safety Registry required by the MO Department of Mental Health

Responsible for providing adequate protective oversight for each individual based on his or her Individualized Support Plan. Conducts individual and group instruction providing each person the opportunity to reach his or her highest possible level of independence. Responsible for assisting each person in meeting his or her daily needs as necessary.
